Because Love Shouldn’t Hurt

Domestic Violence can happen to anyone regardless of where you live, where you work, what color your skin or who you love. The sad truth is that there are approximately 1.3 million women and 835,000 men who are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner each year (OJP, 2000). This is not including other forms of domestic violence such as verbal or sexual abuse.

If you are the victim of intimate partner violence, please call our 24-hour hotline to talk to a caring hotline worker about options for leaving the situation or developing a plan that will keep you safe until you are ready to leave.

“We can all take responsibility for helping to bring about change, and keeping our friends and colleagues safe from domestic violence
